Mummy Mondays: @ohdeardrea

As you may already know, there is nothing we love more than a beautiful Instagram feed here at RRV. So, naturally, we were super excited to share snaps from this lovely lady’s insta (@ohdeardrea) as part of this weeks Mummy Mondays feature. Colourful, bold and full of love, Andrea’s instagram feed beautifully captures life at home in sunny florida with hubby and gorgeous little one Marlowe through both her insta feed and awesome blog. We have loved getting to know all about this mamas happy, healthy lifestyle through her inspiring interview and we think you will too. Read on…

mummy-mondays-ohdeardrea-2Where do you live, and what do you love most about it?

I live in South Florida. West palm beach to be exact. I love that we can grow bananas, coconuts, papayas, and mangoes. I’ll never live anywhere where topical fruit can’t be grown.

What inspired you to start an Instagram account?

It just seemed like a lot of fun. I’ve always been a picture person so it seemed like a natural fit to join a platform that was specifically for sharing photos.

When did you know you wanted to be a mama?

I didn’t. Ever. It just sort of happened and was one of the scariest things I could have imagined. I wouldn’t change it for anything though. It was and is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

How many kiddos do you have and what are there personalities like?

One. Marlowe. She is the sweetest and kindest kid. She’s always thinking about the earth, animals, people, everything. She’s super silly and serious at the same time. She’s just a really good kid.

How would your husband/partner describe you?

Silly maybe. Silly but serious, just like our kid haha.

What inspires you to dress your children in vintage clothes?

Marlowe just wants to be comfortable. And I just want to do a bit of good for the earth. So second hand items and organic options are the best option for us.

If you could go back to any period in time, where would you go and why?

I’m happy now. And maybe pregnancy. I’d like to live parts of that again.

Kids wiggle, what is your secret to a good shot of your little one in action?

Take one million photos.

When the going gets tough with the kiddos all in tow, what is your secret for putting the smiles back on those little faces?

We don’t really have the fussy problems too much. We make sure that everyone in our family is well rested and well fed— seems to do the trick just fine.

What could you imagine your children doing in 20 years time?

I see Marlowe doing something super creative or something super giving. Or both. She talks about being a fashion designer or a chef or going around the world to tell people not to eat animals.

What are your children’s favorite things to do as a family?

The beach for sure.

What is the hardest thing about being a mama?

Just the fears and concerns that come with it. You always want your kid to be happy and healthy and its hard when they get sick or something you cant control happens.

And of course, what is your favorite thing about being a mama?

Its just really wonderful to see such a good and happy kid in the world.

What are some daily rules/mantras do you use for being a mama?

Happy moms make happy kids.

When all the babes are in bed sleeping, what are you most likely doing?

Working. Always working. I do most of my photos during the day and answer emails or write on the blog ( at night.

If you could take your family anywhere in the world, where would you go?

South india maybe. Or everywhere.

Who are some of your favorite instagram users?

I really like @afarmedia and @cntraveler. I love to find new places to visit!
